POSITION: Events Manager

REPORTS TO: President & CEO

STATUS: Contract Position

COMPENSATION: $3000-$3450 per month

LOCATION: Palm Springs, CA


POSITION SUMMARY:

The Events Manager will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for the development, planning, execution, and evaluation of Palm Springs Pride events including Pride Honors Awards, OUT PSP (National Coming Out Day), Cesar Chavez Breakfast, OUTstanding Voices Palm Springs, Community Leadership Council, annual Hate Crime Vigil, components of the Pride Festival and Parade along with development of new signature fundraising events, and coordination of 3rd party fundraising and community engagement events.


This position reports to the President & CEO and works in partnership with development and program staff, volunteers, stakeholders, as well as directly with community members of diverse backgrounds. This work of this position supports the organization’s objective to build a culturally rich community that fosters Pride in and respect for the LGBTQ+ community locally and globally. 


This is a 20 to 40 hour a week contract position.
